Route Notes C1 next to Korean woman C2 in Western Cwm C3 on Lhotse Face C4 at South Col. 1st summit team of 6 left col at 2 am and Moti at 3:00, Wangchu 4:00 and Pemba Temba at 5:00 am. Wangchu turned back above Hillary Step because of abdominal pain and diarrhea; other 5 to top. Pemba Temba descended to C2, others slept at C4 (including Wangchu). Next summit bid: Sinclair, Rabold and 3 Sherpas to col on 15th; left col at 1:00 am on 16th together and all got to top before Koreans; all slept at C4. No more attempts: only 1 more climbing member, who helped bring down body of Lobsang and had personal reasons not to try.
Accidents Many members had stomach trouble (sirdar Wangchu also)
