Route Notes 1st summit bid was by Pasang Lhamu (with Babu Tshering, Sange) on 25th. 2nd bid by her again with her 3 Sherpas plus Vincent, Arvis & Maurus, Powers & Sesma on 26th; Pasang's party reached 8400m and French to 8400m and all back because of wind. 3rd summit bid on 3rd Oct by Vincent for half an hour, had trouble with headlamp & it was windy. 7th Oct Vincent (alone from C2) left C4 at midnight alone entirely and on top at 9:30 am (slow beause tired) and down to Col for the night. 5th bid on 9th by Darsney only from this team; left col 1 am and on top after 11 hrs (also tired). Pasang Lhamu had an entirely separate party: her own tents, food, oxygen, etc and her own team of 3 climbing Sherpas, plus her husband Sonam in support to C2. All of these climbers also used oxgyen at and above South Col. She left mountain after her attempts 25th and 26th because tired (and according to her brother-in-Law, because Sonam had to return to his trekking business in Kathmandu).
