| Route Notes | C3 at Lhotse Face High point at South Col. Did not attempt South Pillar although that was their assigned route. Spanish Army already there and no space at C3 for other expedition. Not good collaboration with Army who didn't want other Spaniards to go ahead of them. This team only 4 climbers after leader left and now decided Gonzalez to be summiter. Gonzalez and Bruno Perez a team to put Gonzalez on top and Bruno see how high he could go without oxygen while Gonzalez and 2 Sherpas with oxygen, while other 2 in support. But never reached C4, which Sherpa did reach on 7th May and left equipment there and saw again 9th May. 10th May 2 members towards C3 alone and at 7000m 1 exhausted and had to descend while other member went to C3 and then decided to descend, really scared to go alone to C4 (Sherpa was to go from C2 to C4 on 11th). |
