Route Notes C1 at base of Japanese Couloir High point at Japanese Couloir. 2 attempts to climb Japanese Couloir: 1st on 18th Sept by 3 members reached 6800m, then snow started falling and down to ABC; 2nd attempt on 28th Sept night after snowfall finished. Reached 7000m where snow conditions bad: crested deep snow; 3 members again made this attempt; 29th Sept to C1 to sleep; now winds were strong and yaks arrived BC 7th Oct.
