Route Notes BC at normal site C1 at top of Icefall C2 in Western Cwm C3 on SW Face C4 on SW Face High point at C4. Belgians made icefall route and charged $1200 and Rs 5000. In gully all ice, no snow so Sungdare and Park Jong-Guk say impossible to climb. Anyway very strong wind and rock avalanching. Stayed in C4 2-3 nights but made no attempt to go higher. Progress to C4 very slow because much snow as well as fierce winds. Fixed rope all way from C2 to C4. 2 members and 4 Sherpas to C3, 1 member and 2 Sherpas to C4.
