Route Notes C1 to C2 is long hard, dangerous climb (from avalanches, so climbed at night). Bad weather intervened between C2 to C3's establishments. C3 to C4 intervals of bad weather and rope fixing; fixed total 5000 ft. 1st summit bid 15th by Michael Graber and Mimi Stone from C4: reached 8500m and then driven back by winds. 2nd bid left C3 on 17th Oct, got to C3 and there big storm came. 3rd summit team of Schunk and Sherpa decided not to try at all; storm gave 7 ft of snow at C2 and tore out fixed lines, all tents in C1 and ABC buried in deep snow, so end of climb. 15 Americans total team.
