Route Notes Approach: Pangboche BC 19/04 5350m C1 27/04 6000m C2 29/04 6440m (touched base of Lhotse face) C3 21/05 7100m C4 22/05 7900m Smt 24/05 by Smith, Suitor, Carel, Chhewang Sherpa, Pasang Rinji, Temba Bhote, Furi Sherpa, Pasang Chiring Sherpa at 6 am 24/05 by Munoz, Chandesris, Sanduk Tamang and Lhakpa Dendi Sherpa at 5:23 am. Second rotation, C2 on 06/05, touched C3 on 09/05 back to BC on 10/05. Team attempted to summit on 23/05. They left C4 at 11:30 pm on 22/05 and when they reached the balcony, it was too windy and they turned back to C4 where they arrived at 3 am. Munoz and Chandesris and Sanduk Tamang and Lhakpa Dendi Sherpa left C4 at 9 pm. Rest of the group left C4 at 10 pm (Smith, Suitor, Carel, Chhewang Sherpa, Pasang Rinji, Temba Bhote, Furi Sherpa, Pasang Chiring Sherpa). Route was not so busy as many of the people who turned back had to abandon their climb due to not enough oxygen. They descended to C4 where the last person arrived at 9 am. Apart from the Lhotse summit team, everyone else stayed at the South Col on 24/05 and descended to C2 on 25/05. Lhotse summit: Munoz, Smith, Sanduk Tamang and Pasang Rinji Sherpa left 1:50 am on 25/05. They stopped at Lhotse C4 to deposit some gear. The couloir was covered in fresh snow at least at the beginning. Further up it was wind-swept. Summit on 25/05 at 9:10 am by Munoz, Smith, Sanduk Tamang and Pasang Rinji Sherpa. Lhotse team descended to C2 where they arrived at around 5 pm. Aviation-assisted: On 26/05 Munoz was picked up by helicopter from C2 and was taken to Lukla hospital to check out her chest as she had bronchitis. She was in hospital for 3 days. AC Private Client with Ang Dorje: Samuel Patrick Ratsch Summit rotation C2 14/05 C3 16/05 C4 17/05 Smt 18/05 by Ang Dorje, Ratsch, Pasang Bhote, Tashi Thundu, Pemba Sherpa at 8:55 am. Team left C4 at 11 pm. It was a very busy day and they had to wait in line for quite some time. They descended to C2 the same day where they arrived at 7:30 pm. Following day back to BC. Enitre team left BC on 27/05 walked to Pheriche and heli to KTM. Oxygen: Used from C2 to top to C2 by members and by Sherpas from C4 to top to C4.
