Route Notes Approach: Lhasa BC 12/05 5200m IC 17/05 5800m ABC 18/05 6400m C1 20/05 7000m C2 21/05 7700m C3 22/05 8300m Smt 23/05 by Furtenbach, Gredler, Schranz, Corvalan, Hakon Erlandsen at 4.20 am (Nepali time). Team left C3 at 10:30 pm on 22/05. The ropes were fixed by the Chinese on 07/05. Perfect weather. Warm, no wind. Good views. Straightforward climb. Spent about half an hour on the summit and descended to ABC where they arrived at lunch time. On 24/05 descended to BC and took jeep to Old Tingri. On 25/05 they took a jeep to Kyrong, crossed the border, took a jeep to Syabrubesi and took heli back to Kathmandu. Oxygen: Taken and used from ABC to top to ABC by members Taken and used from 7000m to top to 7000m by Sherpas From 7000m to top to ABC by Erlandsen. Hakon Erlandsen (Norway) was aclient of Mingma Gyalje Sherpa (Imagine Nepal) and Chinese give smt time as 5:25 am.
