Route Notes Approach: Mera/Ama Dablam BC 04/05 5350m C1 5900m C2 08/05 6440m C3 21/05 7100m C4 22/05 7900m EVER Smt 23/05 by Binggeli, Sarbach, Neuschmid, Bahadur Lal Tamang and Gyalzen 7:30 am. LHOT Smt 24/05 by Sarbach and Gyalzen Sherpa at 5 am. The team was initially planning to go to Tibet, however, due to the borders to Tibet opening so late, they defected to the south side. They climbed Mera Peak and Ama Dablam (not to the summit) on 01/05. They trekked from Pangboche to BC. During the acclimatization they stayed four nights at C2 and touched C3 on 07/05 and back to BC on 09/05. Team left C4 at 1 pm on 22/05. Straightforward climb. Dawa Sherpa turned back after about 100m due to a bad cough. Spent about 30 mins on the summit and descended to C4 where they arrived 10 am. Sarbach and Gyalzen Sherpa stayed at C4 as they were heading to Lhotse the following day. Neuschmid and Lal stayed at C3 and Binggeli and Dawa Sherpa who had waited at C4 descended to C2. They all descended to BC on 24/05. Lhotse summit: Sarbach and Gyalzen stayed the night at the South Col and left for Lhotse at midnight. They traversed to Lhotse C4, deposited some gear and carried on to Lhotse. Straightforward climb. They descended to BC where they arrived at 4 pm. Left BC on on 26/05 by foot. Oxygen: Taken and used from C2 to top to C2 by Bingelli Taken and used from C3 to top to C3 by Sarbach and Sherpas Taken and used from BC to top C2 by Neuschmid Ama Dablam: BC 28/04 4700m C1 29/04 5700m C2 30/04 HPt 01/05 all members and all Sherpas at 6600m. Climb abandoned due to high winds.
