Route Notes From Dreamers Destination: It is an honor and pure pleasure to inform you that the team of Yin Hung Tsang - Ada (Hong Kong) accompanied by Sirdar Pemba Dorje Sherpa (Nepal), mountain guides Phurba Thiley Sherpa (Nepal), Nima Gyalzen Sherpa (Nepal), Mingma Nuru Sherpa (Nepal), Padam Tamang (Nepal), and expedition leader Phurba Tenjing Sherpa (Nepal) have successfully completed the speed ascent of the Mt. Everest in the female category. Ada, an ultra runner and the first Everest Summiteer from Hong Kong climbed Everest from base camp (5300m) to the summit (8848.86m) in 25 hours and 50 minutes today. She started this journey yesterday at 1:20 pm in the afternoon (May 22, 2021) from the base camp and reached the summit this afternoon at 3:10pm (May 23, 2021) making the world record of 25 hours 50 minutes. Ada and the team first attempted this speed ascent on May 12, 2021. Due to extremely harsh weather (high-speed wind and knee-high snow), they decided to descend back from 8750m. Tons of Congratulations to the entire team for this wonderful feat. With this good news, the team #dreamersdestination has 100% (Everest & Lhotse) expedition success this spring with three record-breaking achievements. 1. The fastest woman to climb Everest from the south (Nepal) side by Ying Hung Tsang. 2. The most siblings to have climbed Everest (Pemba Gyalzen Sherpa, Phurba Thundu Sherpa, Pemba Gyalzen Sherpa, Nima Gyalzen Sherpa, Phurba Tenjing Sherpa, Phurba Thiley Sherpa, Dawa Diki Sherpa and Nima Lhamu Sherpa). 3. 21st successful Everest ascent by an eminent record holder mountaineer Pemba Dorje Sherpa. Also, the team leader Miss Grace Tseng Ko (Taiwan) has climbed Everest and Lhotse on May 12 and May 23 simultaneously, one step closer to 14’ 8000ers. Special thanks go to amazing government officials Mr. Gyanendra Shrestha (Everest Summiteer and LO) and Sona Sherpa (LO of the team) who supported tremendously being at the Everest Base Camp. A big round of applause to our base camp manager and head chef Bhuchung Lama (Executive Director) and all kitchen staffs for providing amazing food and amazing service. Shout out to Davide Peuzzi(Italy) and Josef Einwaller (Austria) for continuous information supply on weather reports. Kudos to Rojita Buddhacharya (Netherlands) for commendable communication and groundwork. Finally, we would like to thank all mountaineering communities for making this spring better amidst COVID terror. Note: “The [previous] fastest woman to climb Everest from the south side (Nepal) is Phujo Jhangmu Lama (Nepal), who completed her climb in a time of 39 hours 6 minutes on May 15-17, 2018.”
