Route Notes BC 14/04 5300m C1 25/04 6000m [29/04 for Ennis] C2 27/04 6400m [03/05 for Ennis] C3 13/05 7200m C4 14/05 7900m Summit waves: 1st wave (Pollak, Gowler, Ennis): May 13 at C3. May 14 at C4. May 15 reached HPt at 8684m (GPS measurement). Had started from C4 at 9 pm on May 14, reached HPt at 8:30 am on May 15, back at 6:30-7 pm at C4 on the same day. Ennis was using an artificial leg. Gowler had problems with his oxygen mask which delayed the team to the point that there was not enough oxygen left for the team to continue to the summit and return safely. Ennis did not want to continue on risking the safety of Gowler and the other members (and did not want to continue on without Gowler). 2nd wave: (Morton, Makin, Davies, Taylor): left C4 at 9 pm on May 22, summited on May 23 at 5:40 am, back to C2 at 9 pm on same day. HP to C1. Geth Davies, UK, SMT Tom Makin, UK, SMT Rizza Ali, India, C4 on May 22. Left BC: 1st wave left BC on May 19; 2nd wave left on May 25. Oxygen: 1st wave from C3 (slept on it) to HPt to C3 2nd wave from 7200m to SMT to 6800m (at foot of Lhotse face). Accidents: no frostbites, no injuries, just chest infections.
