| Route Notes | BC 10/05 5300m C1 not used C2 13/05 6500m C3 14/05 7300m C4 15/05 South Col Smt 16/05 by Laza, Dawa (of Peme) and Chhiring Lama (of Pioneer). Laza started his summit push with Dawa and Chhiring Lama from C4 at 7:15 pm of 15 May. They reached summit at 4:45 am of 16 May and stayed on summit for about 30 minutes. They returned C4 around 9:15 am, then went down to C2 where they arrived at 3:30 pm. Next day 17 May to BC. Summit day weather was good, but after 5 am it was foggy and windy. The Laza team met Kenton Cool with his client with two Sherpas descending from summit at the Hillary Step. Also, they met a Swedish climber with Sherpa descending from summit. Laza team were the third ones to summit on that day. Left BC on 18 May by Heli. Oxygen: C3-summit-C3 by member and Sherpas. Laza note: I do not know if this sets a record: BC–summit-BC in 8 days; Summit push elapse time 5 days. |
