Weather fine, but as Wilkins had eaten too much tsampa for breakfast he had to sit down at the Balcony to digest for 2 hours. Dendi Sherpa got too cold and turned back at the Balcony. They spent about 15 minutes on the summit and descended to C4, where they arrived at 2 pm. On 16/05 C2 and on 17/05 they helicoptered from C2 to BC (aviation assisted). 22/05 summit team left C4 between 5 pm and 6 pm on 21/05. As they had left so early they were not faced with the crowds. Straightforward climb. They stayed around 10 minutes on the summit. Morris, Peter Wilson, Richard Wilson descended to C2, where they arrived at 10 am. Soares helicoptered from C2 due to frostbite on his toes; Morris was helicoptered from C2 due to frostbite on his toes (he may lose the tip of his big toe)(both aviation assisted). All other members descended to C4, where they arrived at around 8 am. 23/05 summit team left C4 at 9 pm. Straightforward climb. Big crowds on the summit. Spent about 15 minutes on the summit. Descended to C4, where they arrived at 11 am. 27/05 summit team left C4 at 9 pm. Straightforward climb, no winds, perfect day. They spent about 15 minutes on the summit and descended to C4 where they arrived at 10 am. Grom and Mrika and Arianit Nikci descended to C2. Lhotse Smt 23/05 by Kitri and Namgyal Sherpa at 8:30 am; Freire, Badar and Kami Sherpa at 6 am. After summiting Everest on 22/05 at 2:30 am, Lhotse summit team descended to Everest C4, where they arrived at 8:30 am. They stayed at Everest C4 and rested there. At 12:30 am they traversed from Everest C4 to Lhotse C4, where they had a short 10-minute break. They continued to the summit, stayed there for about 10 minutes and descended to C2, where they arrived at 4 pm. On 24/05 down to BC. Kulish's death: Kulish descended in 3 hours and was strong and in good spirits on the way down. He was fine for about four hours at C4. At 4 pm, Ceppi the guide went to check on Kulish in his tent and found him dead with his oxygen mask on. He did CPR for about 25 minutes with Prakash but no success. The body (packaged up) is still in the tent at the South col. On 28/05 Montesinos and Ceppi descended to C2 while the others descended to BC. On 29/05, everyone down at BC. Missirlian reached C1 early in rotation. He "could not find his why" and went home. Beaudoin did not climb on Everest at all. He left due to family issues. Tepekian reached C1 early in the rotation. He had a bad cough, tore some cartilage and left the expedition early. Gregory reached C2 26/04. He had severe AMS and left the expedition. Kalb (supposed to climb Lhotse) reached C2 and had AMS symptoms there and left the expedition early. Stewart reached C1 early in the trip. He had chest pain and AMS symptoms and left expedition. Oxygen stolen: 73 bottles of oxygen went missing on the 22 May along with tents. Hamill held team at C2, used their redundancy bottles and also had some help from Adventure Consultants with 14 bottles and Alpine Ascents. All of Hamill's 2nd team summited with no oxygen dramas at all and were on full flows so they managed to pull it together. Team left BC on 29/05. Oxygen: Taken and used from C2 to top to C2 by Graham, Walters, Aditi and Anuja Vaidya, Soares, Kulish, Dhoring, Wilkins, Badar Taken and used from C3 to top to C2 by all other members Taken and used from C4 to top to C4 by Sherpas.
