Route Notes BC 19/04 5350m C1 27/04 5900m C2 08/05 6440m C3 21/05 7000m C4 22/05 7900m Smt 23/05 by Benegas, Vouloumanos, Krammer, Chedden Bhote Sherpa at 7:09 am and Decurgez, Lewthwaite, Lopsang Sherpa, Dawa Gualjen Sherpa, Khangdu Sherpa at 9:20 am. Summit team left South Col at 10 pm; group got divided into 2 because of traffic. Balcony about 6 hours, held up because of 3 bodies being dragged down. From Balcony to summit 4 hours. Summited in 2 groups one at 7:09 am and the other at 9:20 am. Returned to South Col 12 pm and 2 pm. Stayed night at South Col. 24/05 whole team descended to C2 and 25/05 descended to Base Camp. 26/05 team flew BC to Kathmandu. Lawrence got to 6800m on 10/05. He wasn’t ready or prepared enough to summit. Gaddi got to 6800m on 10/05. He was very strong, but fell in a crevasse (whilst clipped to the fixed rope) and although he was uninjured on his return to BC he made the decision not to carry on with the climb. Sherpas: All had summited with Benegas previously. Oxygen: Taken and used by members from C2 to summit to base of Lhotse Sherpas from C3 to summit to base of Lhotse face.
Accidents Gaddi fell into a crevasse at 6800m (but not injured)
