Route Notes BC 08/04 5350m C1 24/04 5900m C2 26/05 6440m C3 15/05 7000m C4 16/05 7900m Smt 17/05 Blakely, Ang Gelu Sherpa, Sonam Sherpa, Nima Sherpa at 7:48 am. Lhotse Smt 18/05 by Blakely, Ang Gelu at 11 am. Summit team left C4 at 11 pm on 16/05. Straightforward climb. They spent about 30 minutes on the summit. They descended to C4, where they arrived about 1:30 pm. On 18/05 Blakely and Ang Gelu left C4 at 4:30 am, traversed to Lhotse C4, where they arrived at 5:30 am and continued straight to Lhotse summit. They spent about 10 minutes on the summit and descended to C2, where they arrived at 6 pm. Wood reached C2 on the first rotation. On the descent he took a fall when he flicked the rope and injured his shoulder. He descended to BC and took a helicopter to Kathmandu on 28/05. Van Craig was BC manager.
