| Route Notes | BC 13/04 5350m C1 29/04 5900m C2 30/04 6440m C3 16/05 7000m C4 17/05 7900m Smt 18/05 by Massad, Tremblay, Chhewang Rinzing Sherpa at 9 am. Summit team left C4 at 9 pm on 17/05. Straighforward climb. The stayed on the summit for half an hour. Massad descended to C3 and stayed there. He was too tired to carry on. Tremblay and Chhewang went to C2, where they arrived at 9 pm. Massad descended to C2 on 19/05 and to BC on 20/05. Chhiring Sherpa set out with the summit team, but turned back at the Balcony due to cold feet. Beliveau reached base of Lhotse Face (6800m). He had come back from Lobuche Peak where he had peed blood releasing a kidney stone. He felt good afterwards and did two rotations on Everest, but the pain came back and the doctors at BC found that he may have more kidney stones. He was helicoptered back to Kathmandu on 05/05. He was diagnosed with two more kidney stones and he left Kathmandu for Canada on 10/05. Gabriel Filippi never intended to climb. He was the BC Manager. Team left BC on 21/05 by trek to Lukla. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 to top to C3 by members, Sherpas from C4.
