Route Notes The Pioneer Adventure Everest expedition was a combination of several independent teams (1-2 climbers each). Pioneer Adventure provided transportation, base camp facilities and various levels of high altitude support (oxygen, high-altitude porters, tents, etc) as required and contracted for by each team. The individual accounts for each team are given below: Chhoki Sherpa (Nepal) Camps: BC(16/04,5380m),C1(24/04,5980m),C2(25/04,6500m),C3(13-14/05,7200m), C4(15/05,7900m),Smt(16/05) Left: 21/05/2018 by heli Hired: 1 Term: Success (12:15 pm) On 15 May Chhoki and Pemba Dorchi started their summit puch from C4 at 10:15 pm and reached summit at 12:15 pm on 16 May. The summiters stayed on summit for 25 minutes and went down to C4 where they arrived at 6 pm. Route was jammed for about 3 hours. Next day 17 May they went down to C2 and on 18 May to BC. Very good weather, there were about 90 climbers ahead of them and on the summit ahead of them and 10-15 climbers behind them. Oxygen: Chhoki from C3-summit-C3, Sherpa from C4-summit-C4. Dikki Sherpa (Nepal) Camps: BC(18/04,5300m),C1(23/04,6100m),C2(25/04,6400m),C3(15/05,7200m), C4(16/05,7900m),Smt(17/05) Left: 20/05/2018 by heli Hired: 1 Term: Success (7:30 am) Dikki and Kami Dorchi started their summit push from C4 between 7-8 pm of 16 May. They got to the top at 7:30 am and stayed on summit for 30 minutes. Both descended to C4 where they arrived around 12:30 pm and continued to C3 where they arrived at 7 pm. Next day on 18 May went down to BC. The summit day weather was very good. Bhagwan Bhikoba Chawale and Prajit Rasiklal Pardeshi from India were together with Dikki on the summit. Oxygen: Dikki from C3-summit-C3, Sherpa from C4-summit-C4. Doma Sherpa (Nepal) Camps: BC(17/04,5360m),C2(27/04,6400m),C3(13/05,7200m), C4(14/05,7900m),Smt(22/05) Left: 25/05/2018 by heli Hired: 2 Term: Success (5:00 am) Doma with Chhangba and Pasang reached summit at 5 am on 22 May; earlier they left C4 at 8:30 pm on 21 May. The summiters stayed on summit for 15 minutes and went down to C4 at 9 am, then continued to C2 where they arrived at 5 pm. Next day on 23 May descended to BC. It was good weather, there were 3-4 climbers on the summit ahead of them and 10-12 climbers behind them. Oxygen: Doma from C3-summit-C3, Sherpas from C3-summit-Lhotse C4. Narbin Magar (Nepal) Camps: BC(17/04,5364m),C2(?/04,6500m),C3(16/05,7300m),C4(17/05,7900m),Smt(18/05) Left: 21/05/2018 by heli Hired: 1 Term: Success (6:25 am) Narbin with Dawa left C4 at 8:30 pm on 17 May for summit and the reached summit at 6:25 am on 18 May. The summiters stayed there for 25 minutes and went down to C4 where they arrived at 9 am, then continued to C2 where they reached at 1:30 pm. Next day on 19 May descended to BC. It was windy in the morning till the Hillary Step. There were about 10 -15 climbers ahead of this team and behind them may be 50 climbers. Oxygen: Narbin from C3-summit-C3, Sherpa from C4-summit-C4. Phunjo Lama (Nepal) Camps: BC(19/04,5350m),C1(5900m),C2(27/04,6400m),C3(15/05,7000m),C4(16/05,7900m), Smt(18/05) Left: 19/05/2018 by heli Hired: 1 Term: Success (6:26 am) Lama and Pasang Tenje started summit push from BC at 3:31 pm on 15/05. They arrived at C3 at 12:42 am on 16/05. Lama was intending to do a speed ascent, but Pasang Tenje's oxygen mask was faulty. When they reached C3 they were looking for another mask, but could not find one. He descended to C2 at 2:30 am to get a new mask while Lama stayed at C3 to wait for him. He returned to C3 at 2 pm on 16/05. They left C3 for the summit at 4 pm on 16/05. They reached C4 at 9 pm and set out for the summit at midnight. Weather was clear and calm. They spent about 20 minutes on the summit. She met Pemba with two Indian clients, who was coming up from Tibet side and Kari Kobler's team on the summit. They descended to C2, where they arrived at 3.30 pm. Oxygen: Taken and used from bottom of the Lhotse Face at 6800m to top to about 7300m by both summiters. Prakash Pandey (Nepal) Camps: BC(20/04,5380m),C1(24/04,6100m),C2(25/04,6500m),C3(13/05,7500m), C4(15/05,7900m),Smt(16/05) Left: 21/05/2018 by heli Hired: 1 Term: Success (11:30 am) On 15 May Pandey and Chhiring Lama started their summit push from C4 at around 9:30 pm and reached summit at 11:30 am on 16 May. The summiters stayed on summit between 15-20 minutes and went down to C4 where they arrived aroud 2 pm. They spent night at Lhotse C4 and next day 17 May they went down to C2. On 18 May to BC. Good weather, there were about 15 climbers ahead of them. On 14 May while going to higher camp they had to sleep at C3 due to snowfall and high wind.
