| Route Notes | From Jacob Schmitz: 1st night at C1: we never stayed at C1; we climbed Lobuche East and spent two nights at 5750m on the 11th and 12th of April. 1st night at C2: 23rd of April 1st night at C3: 27th of April 1st night at C4: 16th of May Summit push: departed EBC for C2, 13th of May Members started oxygen at C3, 15th of May Sherpas started oxygen at C4, 16th of May Summit: arrived at S Col 16:00 May 16th, left for summit at 22:30, summited at 07:40 on May 17th, stayed on the summit for 25 min. Summit team: Jacob Schmitz, Dan Horne, Ngima Sona, Nima Wangchu. Ross Jobson and Son Dorje turned around at midnight. After summiting all six of us went down to C2 and took a rest day on the 18th. We arrived back to EBC on the 19th. Ross, Dan and I walked out of EBC on the 20th. On the 23rd we flew out from Namche to KTM. Oxygen: Taken and used by members from C3 to smt to C3, Sherpas from C4 to smt to C2. 5 cylinders of oxygen stolen from C4. |
