Adamski was going to climb without oxygen, but he had too much equipment in his bag as he was planning his traverse and needed gear on the other side. The bag weighed about 15kg to 18kg as he took sleeping bag, stove, gas, food, etc. He started using oxygen from 8300m. He had two bottles of oxygen, which were carried up by his Sherpa to C3. The Sherpa deposited the gear at C3 and descended again. Adamski left C3 at 11 pm on 20 May. The weather was calm. Straightforward climb. He reached the summit with three other people from the north side. He spent about 15 minutes on the summit as it was very cold and windy. He descended to C3 on the SOUTH side, where he found an empty tent. He got there at about noon. As he had taken everything including sleeping bag, cooker, gas and food, he had some food and stayed the night at C3. On 22 May he descended to BC, where he met his friend Andrew, who had brought his trekking boots and clothes. He changed, packed his climbing gear into his bag and went to Gorak Shep, where he spent the night. From Gorak Shep he sent a text message to his friends (Laurent from Switzerland) from the Trekking Himalaya Team and told them that he was Ok and that they should not worry. On 23 May, he received a text message from his wife that there had been an article about him in the Himalayan Times. That's how he found out that he may be in trouble. On 30 May, he is due to have a meeting at the Ministry of Tourism with the Polish consulate and an embassy official, who has come from Delhi. He is now waiting for his verdict. He is staying because he wants to solve the problem and feels sorry that he got other people into trouble. Unfortunately, the Chinese authorities announced that due to this illegal traverse Tibet will be closed for ALL mountaineering in autumn 2017. Oxygen: Taken and used from C3 on north side to top to C4 on south side by Adamski.
