| Route Notes | BC 16/04 5400m C1 6100m C2 24/04 6390m C3 20/05 7410m C4 22/05 7950m Smt 25/05 by Nesseler and Phura Jangbu at 7:30 am. Summit team left C4 at 11:45 pm on 24 May. Weather was clear and cold. Straightforward climb. Stayed about 40 minutes on the summit. After the summit they descended to C2 with all their gear. They carried about 30kg each and arrived at C2 at 10:30 pm. On 26 May to BC with even more gear. The pair was climbing unsupported and carried everything themselves. Left BC on 27 May. Oxygen: Taken and used from C4 to summit C4 by Phura Jangbu and Nesseler Slept for two nights at C4 on one bottle each. Sherpa: Phura Jangbu Sherpa, Upper Pangboche, 13/04/1997 Nessler: Phura Jangbu Sherpa (21) from Upper Pangboche, long time friend and assistant trekking guide for our EBC group treks, summited Everest in 2016 for the first time. |
