| Route Notes | BC 18/04 5200m ABC 23/04 6400m C1 27/04 7000m C2 18/05 7800m C3 19/05 8200m Smt 20/05 by Tamang at 3 am, Morozov at 4:12 am, Ryzhikov at 4:20 am. Summit team left C3 at 10:30 pm on 19 May. They were first to go to the summit that day. Tamang met a few people who had come up from the south side. He spent two hours on the summit as it was dark and he wanted to wait for sunlight. However, as his camera was frozen and it was cold, he descended once the other two had arrived. Tamang descended to ABC, where he arrived at 5 pm. He dismantled C3 and C2 on the way down. On 21 May he went up to C1 to dismantle the camp there. Morozov and Rhyzhikov descended to C1, where they arrived at 5 pm. Tamang was the first person to summit from the north side on 20 May. On 21 May everyone back at ABC. Oxygen: Taken and used from C1 to top C1 by Morozov and Ryzhikov. From 7500m to top to 7500m by Tamang. Jeevan Shrestha - 21 Apr 2017 Alex Abramov told Jeevan Shrestha that Morozov and Ryzhikov came to Abramov's tent at BC and told him that they did not summit. Jeevan Shrestha - 28 Apr 2017 Chatur Tamang confirmed that Morozov and Ryzhikov did not summit, but stopped at C3. They did not use Sherpas, so they did not have the strength to continue. |
