Summit team left C3 at 10:45 pm on 24 May. It was very windy until about 5:30 am. Straightforward climb. All members and Sherpas summited within one hour of each other and stayed an average of about 15 minutes on the summit. On the way down, there were a lot of people and the descent was very slow. They reached C3 at 8:30 pm; however, Fenech Adami, Temba and Pasang continued to C2, where they arrived at about 10 pm. Attard, Barbaro Sant, Xerri, Dawa and Pemba were running out of oxygen and shared one bottle during the night. On 26 May, they descended to C2, which took them 5 hours. They rested there for 30 minutes, but were then caught in a blizzard. When they reached the lower C2 at 7600m at 3 pm, they crawled into someone else's tent and spent the night there. The following morning (27 May) they left at about noon and waded through deep snow until they reached ABC at 8 pm. On the way down, they saw that their C1 was completely destroyed and that they had lost all their equipment. On 28 May everyone was at Chinese Base Camp. Oxygen: Taken and used from C1 to summit to 8300m by Attard, Barbaro Sant and Xerri From C1 to summit to C1 by Fenech Adami From C2 to summit to C3 by Dawa and Pemba From C2 to summit to C2 by Temba and Pasang The Maltese climbed with the Seven Summit Treks commercial group that Olivier Ruembelli (Swiss), Axel Cezar (Brazilian), Satoshi Tamura (Japanese) and Richard Malblanc (French).
