Route Notes The team's members began arriving at BC on 5 April, some were slow getting there, and their Belgian colleague turned up on the 14th. On the 15th, they began acclimatizing by climbing nearby peaks; they made a high camp on an unnamed one 5777m high that day, reached its summit on the 16th and descended to high camp, and on the 17th were back in Everest BC. On the 18th they went to their BC for Lobuche East. The next day all members and seven Sherpas were on the summit and descended to Lobuche BC. Next they trekked to Pheriche, where they stayed on the 20th and 21st. They spent the night of the 22nd at Lobuche Lodge in the village of the same name. They returned to Everest BC on the 23rd to discover that teams were deciding to leave the mountain. On the 27th they decided they also would abandon the climb, left BC on the 28th and flew from Lukla to Kathmandu on 2 May. Meanwhile three Sherpas had carried loads from BC to C2. Now they stored the loads with other teams' gear at C2 for the return to Everest next year by all the Malaysians.
