Route Notes This team was one of the first to arrive at BC. On 11 April Hahn, Justman, Nugent and five Sherpas went to C1 with loads and slept there that night. A few days later, seven Sherpas ferried loads to C2 and dumped them. No one climbed higher. On the 18th, the day of the fatal avalanche, Hahn and Justman went into the Icefall to help rescue two Sherpas. Their Sherpas said on the 24th that they were ready to go back up and climb the mountain, but they clearly were not ready. The climb was called off on the 23rd, and members left BC on the 25th; Hahn who had constantly been in touch with his office, left by helicopter while the rest trekked to Lukla.
