Route Notes In acclimatization climb for Everest attempted on 28 April Moro, Steck climbed up to C3 on Lhotse face in front of rope fixing Sherpas. When they reached 7300m, the Sherpas were upset with them as they were in front of them. The team finished fixing the rope from 7000m to 7700m and descended to C2. There they tried to settle situation with Sherpas, but the Sherpas were so angry they attacked the three. Other climbers intervened to diffuse the situation. At 5 pm they left C2 as they were told by Sherpas and descended to BC. Steck reached the top of West Shoulder on 19 April. Steck took 4 hours to get to top of West Shoulder at about 7500m. Moro stayed at C2 and Griffith was at BC. High point for Moro and Griffith was 7300m on 28 April.
