Route Notes Inigo was supposed to go to summit with Dawa Jamba, but he fell sick and Lhakpa [Tashi] joined Inigo. They left C4 at 8:30 pm on 16 May in cold and windy weather. When Inigo reached at 8400m at around 1:30 am on 17 May he did not find Lhakpa behind him and he was alone in the route. He walked for some time, but Lhakpa did not turn up. So Inigo decided to go down. Physically Inigo was fit, but he did not like to go alone as there were no other climbers to follow and on one coming up. On 18 May doctor at BC told him that he can attempt again after 3-4 days rest. But Sherpas did not agree to go on second attempt. Inigo was so frustrated with the irresponsible behaviour of Sherpas.
