Summit team left C4 at 10 pm on 12 May. They had spent an extra night at the South Col as the previous day was too windy. However, the winds were still very high that night (about 40km/h) and visibility of about 50m. They had some snowfall around midnight but it cleared around 3 am. Straightforward climb, but very windy. Petzel [and Pa Dawa] summited shortly after Tim Mosedale and Adam Booth at 6 am. They hardly spent any time on the summit as the visibility was poor and it was very cold and windy. [Proudlock and Lhakpa Wangchu summited at 8:30 am.] They descended to C4, where Petzel and Pa Dawa arrived at 10 am and Proudlock and Lhakpa Wangchu arrived at 1 pm. On 14 May they descended to C2. 15 May to BC. On 15 May they took a helicopter back to Kathmandu. Proudlock had slight frostbite on the left side of his face. Rosette reached about 5700m about two thirds up the icefall on 24 April. He was struggling with the altitude and returned to BC. He left BC on 26 April. Todd was leading the expedition, but never intended to climb. He stayed at BC.
