Route Notes BC 15 Apr 5200m ABC 20 Apr 6400m C1 01 May 7000m C2 05 May 7800m C3 24 May 8300m Smt 25 May by Mena and Cáceres at 10:30 am, Freire at 8:30 am. Caceres and Vallejo left C3 at 1:20 am. Freire, Mena and Perez left at 1 am. It was a bit windy and it was -30C. At 4:30 am they rested when they got to the ridge. When Perez arrived at the 1st Step at 7 pm, she had cold feet and toes and turned back. The others carried on and when they arrived at the 3rd Step, Vallejo decided to turn around at 9:45 pm as his mission was to get Perez to the summit and when she turned back there was no point for him to carry on. When he turned back Freire had already come back from the summit and they continued to C3, where Perez was waiting. It was 3 pm. The three descended to C2, where they arrived at 5 pm. All of them spent about 15 minutes on the summit. Mena and Caceres descended to C3, where they arrived at 3 pm and stayed the night. Vallejo, Freire and Perez had already taken down the tents and the pair stayed in another tent. On 26 May Mena and Caceres met the rest of the team at C2, they broke down camp and descended to ABC.
