Route Notes Summit 17 May by Skar and Nima Gyalgen at 8 am: On 16 May summit team and Olivier Thomas left C4 at 8 pm. Weather was cold and windy until the Balcony, where the winds died down. Thomas turned back at the Balcony due to very cold hands at around midnight. He descended to C2 the same day. Summit team carried on. They reached the summit at 8 am and stayed for about 10 minutes. It was very windy. They descended to C4, where they arrived at about 4:30 pm. The following day they descended to BC. Summit 21 May by Miranda and Dawa Jangbu at 10:30 am: Summit team left C4 at 8 pm on 20 May. Perfect weather with a lot of people on the route. Straightforward climb. They spent one hour on the summit and descended to C4, where they arrived at 5 pm. On 22 May they descended all the way to BC. Summit 22 May by Rajeev, Saumitra, Da Chhemba and Lhakpa Nuru at 11:30 am: Summit team left C4 at 8:30 pm. Perfect weather conditions. Very slow, but straightforward climb. They spent about 15 minutes on the summit as it started snowing a bit. They descended to C4, where they arrived at 8:30 pm. On 23 May they descended to C2 and the following day to BC. On 23 May, Thomas Olivier tried again to summit, but only reached the Balcony due tho health issues with his Sherpa Pasang, which made him turn back. They descended to base camp the same day. Muhl reached C3 on 5 May on their first summit attempt. He felt very tired between C1 and C2 and decided that he was too slow and that he was worried that it would happen again. He thought that it would be safer to look after his team from BC.
