Route Notes Sita Rai, a Nepali woman, hopes to perform sirsasan, a type of head-stand yoga, on the top of Everest. Sita Rai (by phone) - 16 May 2012 Climb abandoned on 11 May due to chest infection of Rai. Left BC on 11 May; members at end: 1; guides: 2 Oxygen: Rai used at BC for recovering from infection. Other peaks: the team attempted on Island Peak, but no summit on 13 April. During acclimatization the team went up to 6200m (as told by her guide). There was avalanche on that day so the team returned BC. Then waited for weather to get clear during that period she got chest infection. Sharad (email) - 17 March 2013 a) Sita just reached the C1. b) Sita didn't climb. c) Due to health condition she stopped climbing. d) She had Sherpa support, Ramesh Gurung & Bishnu were the Sherpas.
