| Route Notes | High point on 12 May at 7350m by Brill. On the first rotation on 29 April Brill stayed at C3 for two nights to acclimatize. Afterwards he dropped down to Dingboche for five days and came back to BC on 9 May. Brill ascended to C2 for his second rotation and stayed in C3 for one night. He was climbing with his friend Till Kramann, who was attempting Lhotse. On 12 May he was intending to go to the South Col but at about 7350m Brill did not feel well and was uncoordinated (he did not remember how to abseil properly). He was climbing with Till Kramann again. They turned back at about noon and descended to C2, where they arrived at 5 pm. The following day, he descended to BC. Brill was feeling Ok again and did not see a doctor, however, he suspects that it was a mild case of HACE (high altitude cerebral edema). Brill left BC on 16 May. Oxygen: not taken, not used. |
