Route Notes On summit bid of the Coelho team along with four Sherpas, the team reached C2 on 15 May. Ferrari suffered from leg (right) infection at C2. Then the team decided to abort the expedition and went down to BC. On 20 May Ferrari and Coelhos left BC in a helicopter. Email from Helena Coelho: Again we went to Everest! But it was not supposed to attempt to go to summit. Me and Paulo were there for giving support to a client; Paulo was supposed to be a cameraman up to C2 or C3 and me only to organize the base camp and assist him in the period of acclimatization. We also had the permit paid by the client only in any emergency he needed a help. He would try the summit with Sherpas and with oxygen and we should wait for him in C2 or C3. It was that! He couldn't attempt to go to summit because he had serious health problem on the way to C3, so we had to come down with him from C2 (6400m) to base camp and from there (base camp) he was rescued by helicopter. And all of us came back to Kathmandu on 21 May.
