Route Notes The nine-member expedition put all of its members on the summit on three different days. Actually, the first summiter from this expedition was not a member, but one of their Sherpas, Kami Rita, who went to the top on 5 May helping a group from Brice's Himex team and the IMG expedition led by Vernonage to fix the last ropes up the mountain. They left C2 at 00:20 that night, left C4 at 6:38 am and worked their way up to the summit at 4:00 pm and returned to C4 that evening. The first of the team's parties was composed of Staples and his client, Hameister, with Ang Gelu, Tendi and Lhakpa Dorje. They set out from C4 at 10:45 am on the 10th and summited at 8:40 am on 11 May. They returned to C4 at 12:00 noon. The second group followed two days later, Dillier Degelo, Jude, Kao and Chuldim Dorje, plus Dawa Jangbu, Pemba Chhoti, Temba, Lhakpa Bhote, Sonam Tshering and Namgyal. The ten climbers left C4 early because the day's weather forecast incorrectly predicted very strong winds. They left C4 for the top at 8:40 pm on the 12th and got to the top at 4:00 am on the 13th. They were back in C4 so early (at 9:00 am) that they continued their descent to C2, where they arrived at 4:30 pm. The third party summited six days later: Geoghegan, Roberts, Uhlir, Sange Dorje, Pemba Rinji, Lhakpa, Pasang Bhote [and Kami Rita] left C4 at on the 18th at 10:00 pm and arrived at the summit at 7:25 am (members Geoghegan and Roberts) and 7:45 am (Uhlir) on 19 May. They went back to C4 at 1:00 and 2:00 pm. All members used oxygen in C3 to the summit to and in C3. The Sherpas used it in C4 to the top to and in C4.
