Route Notes Summit: on 22nd May by Saikaly, Dawa Tenzing at 6:20 am, Baldo, Pema and Namgyal at 8:30 am. Summit team left C4 at 10 pm on 21st May. It was snowing hard, but it was quite warm until they reached the Balcony. After that it turned cold and Baldo's valve kept on freezing. When he got to the Hillary Step he had troubles breathing. He initially wanted to turn back but kept on going to the summit. Saikaly and Dawa Tenzing were a bit quicker and reached the summit at 6:20 am. They stayed for about 15 minutes and on their way down they met Baldo, Pema Nuru and Namgyal, who had reached the summit at 8:30 am. They stayed about 10 minutes on the summit (Apa Sherpa was there with him). Saikaly reached C4 at about noon. Baldo kept on having breathing problems on the way down. He got to C4 at about 4 pm as he was very slow. When he reached C4 he called Ramon, the Argentinean doctor, who gave him Dexamethasone. He felt better and descended to BC the next day. He took oxygen all the way down to BC. They left about 10 am and reached BC at 5 pm.
