Route Notes Summit: 25 May all members, except Kwok and Jackson (and Sherpas as listed below) at 10 am (NST). Chessell, Agnew with Nima Kancha, Moriatry with Pasang, Nettleton with Damai Chhiri, North with Pemba, Sarah with Lhakpa, Warner with Ngima Gyalzen, Zaharias with Kusang Tenzing and Robert Jackson with Densa Bhote left C3 between 1 am and 2:30 am. The weather was reasonably calm at the beginning; however, when they got to the summit ridge, the wind ws blowing about 30 knots. Jackson reached the 1st Step at about 5:30 am; he was not feeling very strong and wanted to turn back. He and Densa Bhote descended to ABC the same day. Team was stuck behind the SummitClimb group, who did not let them pass. When they got to the snow slope about 3rd Step, a few Sherpas had to refix a few hundred meters of the fixed rope, which took about 20 minutes. Summit views were only towards the north and not towards the south, where it was cloudy. They spent about 10 minutes on the summit and descended to various camps. Chris Warner to ABC, Chessell, Sarah and Nettleton to C1 and the rest to C2. On 26th May everyone was back at ABC. Kwok reached 7500m on 15 May; he had a throat infection and decided to leave the expedition on 18 May. Chessell biked from Digha, West Bengal on the Indian Ocean all the way to Everest BC. He cycled 13 days in total with a break in Kathmandu for a few days.
