Route Notes The summit party left C4 at 8:40 pm on 16 May. They were Heo Jae-Seok, Heo Young-Ho, Kim Dong-Sik, Shin and Sherpas Wang Dorje, Ang Phurba, Pemba Jangbu and Tashi Lhakpa. All reached the summit on the 17th at 8:40 am (Heo father and son, Tashi Lhakpa) and 9:40 am (the other members and Sherpas). In their descent, the second group had to wait an hour and a half at the Balcony because of the crowd of climbers. The first group got back to C4 at 4:00 pm, while the second one arrived at 7 pm. The whole team were down in C2 on the 18th and BC on the 19th. Non-summiting members: Baek reached C2 on 10 May and went to the bottom of the Lhotse Face but climbed no higher. He returned to BC with the Heos. Kim Heon-Yong climbed to just below C1, then descended to BC because of stomach trouble and left the expedition on 27 April. Kim Sung-Hwan went to C4 on the 15th to join in the summit push, but he became snowblinded and went down to C2 on the 17th instead. Oxygen was used by Kim Dong-Sik from the Balcony to the top to and in C4. The Heos, Shin and the Sherpas used it in C4 to the top to and in C4.
