Route Notes Summit: 25th May by Furneaux at 9:45 am, Ainscough, Dawa Finjo and Thendorje at 9:15 am. Furneaux, Ainscough, Hill, Dawa Finjo and Thendorje were forced to stay at the South Col for two nights as the weather on the 24th did not look very good. The whole team left C4 at 8 pm on 24th May. Weather was clear, but very windy. They had to break trail to the Balcony as the snow was knee-deep. Hill reached the South Summit (8750m) and decided to stop there as he was very tired. He was happy with his achievement and decided to call it quits. He turned back at 9:15 am and descended to C4 [with Mingma Dukpa]. In the meantime Ainscough, Dawa Lama and Thendorje summited at 9:15 am and after having sent off Hill, Furneaux caught up and summited at 9:45 am. They spent about 3 minutes on the summit with great views. They descended to C4, where they arrived at 2 pm. On 26th May they descended to C2 and on 27th to BC.
