| Route Notes | Summit: 24 May by Sippel, Eberhard and Pemba Gyalzen at 9:40 am (NST). Team left C3 at 1:20 am on 24th May. It was snowing, but warm. Hardly any views from the summit, only a part of the South Col and Nuptse. They spent about one hour on the summit and left at about 10:30 am. They descended to C3, where they arrived at 2:11 pm. They rested until 4 pm and continued on to C2, where they arrived at 6:30 pm. It was very windy in the evening. On 25th May, Eberhard left C2 at 10 am and descended to ABC. Sippel waited for the two Spanish climbers, Pedro and Alfredo Garcia, who had suffered frostbite on the mountain. Alfredo seemed to have edema and Sippel gave him Dexamethasone. The Tibetan Mountaineering Rescue team came to C2 and helped the two Spaniards down to ABC. Sippel and Pemba Gyalzen left C2 at 3 pm and reached ABC at 6 pm.
