Route Notes Summit: On 23 May, Miller, Ranner and Jyamchang Bhote at 6:00 am. Summit team left C4 at 8 pm on 22nd May. It was clear with a slight wind. Climb was straightforward. They stopped at the Balcony to wait for the Sherpas for about 20 minutes, which cost them quite a bit of time. They spent about half an hour on the top. Good views. Ranner kept on taking off his big gloves on the summit, which could have been the reason for him getting frostbite. They descended to C4, where they arrived at 12 noon. When they got to C4, Ranner noticed that he had frostbite on four fingers of his right hand. He put them into a bowl with hot water to defrost. On 24th May they descended to C2, where they stopped for water and food and carried on to BC, where they arrived at 6:30 pm. Ranner went to the HRA to get some treatment. He took a helicopter back to Kathmandu on 26th May and went to CIWEC. He might lose parts of his fingers. Miller walked out and left BC on 25th May. Oxygen: Miller from 7700m to top to 7700m Ranner from 7700m to top to C2 Jyamchang Bhote from C4 to top Sherpas: Jyamchang Bhote, Hungung, Farang, Sankhu, 13/4/81, Everest X3, Cho Oyu X2
