Route Notes The leader, Wally Berg, remained in BC throughout the climb. The two members, Clarke and Simper, made their summit push in mid-May. They established C3 on 14 May and C4 at the South Col on the 15th. They spent two nights in C4 so as to be rested before setting out for the top. The two members with four Sherpas, Ang Namgyal, Arita, Kami Tshering and Pemba Dorje, left C4 at 11:00 pm on the 16th and got to the summit at 8:40 am on 17 May. It was warm and only slightly windy at the top, where they spent an hour and 20 minutes filming for themselves and for the team's sponsors Hanesbrands, then returned to C4 at 2:00 pm. They descended to C2 the next day and were back in BC on the 19th. The two members left BC on 21 May and took a helicopter from Pangboche to Lukla on the 23rd. They were back in Kathmandu on the 24th on a scheduled flight and left the country the next day. Both members used oxygen in C3 and all the way to the top, including the time spent in C4, then to and in C4. Sherpas used it in C4 to summit to, but not in C4.
