| Route Notes | Pare started from C3 at 1 am (NST) on 21 May. He reached bottom of 2nd Step (8600m) at 7:30 am. He was exhausted and the oxygen supply system did not work properly. Then he decided to turn around, he reached C3 at 11:30 am. Wind storm started. Pare continued descending and reached C1 at 7:30 pm. On 23 May to ABC. Octeau went up to C1 (7000m) on 3 May; he was sick all the time, suffered from bronchitis. Roy's high point was 7300m. |
