Route Notes BC at CBC, IC on 22 April at 5800m. On 19 May Challeat, Maurel, Pemba and Pechhumbe left C3 at 10 pm for summit. Marsigny couple left C3 at 11:30 pm with Gyalzen. Challeat touched summit at 5:30 am on 20 May. He was climbing without oxygen and left summit immediately. Challeat descended to C2 at about 2 pm. Maurel, Pemba and Pechhumbe stayed on summit for about 30 minutes. All three were with oxygen. They descended to ABC around 5:30 pm. Next day Challeat arrived ABC. The Marsigny couple had to turn around from Mushroom Rock (8550m) between First and Second Steps as Mrs. Marsigny suffered from snowblindness and her husband had to help her to get down to C3 where they arrived about 10 am. Marsigny called his doctor in France who advised him to go down to lower camp and give her oxygen. The Marsigny couple had to sleep for couple of hours and descended to C2. Mrs. Marsigny recovered part of vision in C2, still on oxygen. Next day they descended to ABC. On 20 May, Colletta, Nowak, Schwinte and Nima Dorje left C3 at 10 pm. Colletta reached summit at 7:30 am, stayed on summit for an hour with Nima Dorje and descended to C1 at 4 pm. Next day to ABC. Schwinte reached summit at 12:30 pm, and stayed on summit about 45 minutes. He found that his oxygen was finished. About 50m below the summit he found an almost empty bottle of oxygen and used it, that too ran out. Then he found another almost empty bottle of oxygen near Mushroom Rock, he used that till 8450m. He reached C3 at 8:30 pm. Next day to ABC. Nowak climbed about 200m and had to turn around due to malfunctioning of oxygen supply system. He reached C1 around 5 pm. Saxstad started from C3 at 2 am on 21 May, without oxygen and Sherpa. He reached at 8500m at 6:30 am, stayed there for an hour enjoying nice view of Makalu. His feet started getting cold then descended to C1 at 5 pm. Next day to ABC. Leyder was BC Manager; she left ABC on 6 May and left Kathmandu on 8 May.
