Route Notes All four members and Palden Nima left C4 at 9:30 pm on 18 May to go to the top. Benegas, Collinson, Sahores and Palden Nima reached the summit at 9:20 am on the 19th. Rehfeld, who is 64 years old, was much slower than they; in his descent from the summit, Benegas had to turn back at the top of the Hillary Step and take him up the fixed ropes, waiting in the queue for others to move, and they got to the top at 11:30 am (in the team's first ascent, they climbed past the slower ones on the ropes). Collinson, Sahores and Palden Nima returned to C4 at 1:30 pm while Rehfeld, who was very tired and needed to rest, and Benegas were in C4 at 7:20 pm. Benegas spent time in his descent to fix 120 meters of rope 200m below the South Summit to permit two-way traffic, and to help to get the exhausted independent Irishman Martin Byrne down the camp. All of this team returned to C2 on the 20th and to BC on the 21st. Oxygen was used by the members in C3 to the top to and in C3. Palden Nima used it from C4 to the top to C4. Sherpa: Palden Nima, 29/8/78, Yaphu-9, Makalu, Everest X2
