Route Notes Pizarro left C3 at 9 pm on 20 May. Weather was clear and windy, straightforward climb. Reached summit at 7:30 am (Nepali time). They spent 1-1/2 hours on summit, met Himex climbers coming from south. They descended to C2, arrived at midnight. The reason why it took so long was that he had to help Anna Maria Baranska from Poland down the 2nd Step. He only arrived at C3 at 6 pm. At 9 pm Ritemba Sherpa went ahead to C2 to make soup. Pizarro made mistake to sit down at 7800m and fell asleep. He was hypoxic and woke up after 3 hours. He noticed that he did not get enough oxygen. He turned it up and managed to reach C2 at midnight. On 22 May Pizarro helped Anna down to C1 (he was short-roping Anna). They arrived at 5 pm. They carried on to ABC and arrived at 11:30 pm as Anna had problems coming down the North Col. Pizarro rested on 23 May and 24 May and descended to BC on 25 May. Rossin-Arthiat reached about 6800m (bottom of ropes to North Col) on 10 May. He was not feeling well (pulmonary edema) and descended to interim camp on 11 May. He descended to BC 12 May and left BC on 13 May. On 18 May at C1 Pizarro and Alex Pare tried to resucitate Veslav Chrzaszcz at C1, who had a heart attack. They worked on him for about half hour, however to no avail.
