Route Notes BC at Khumbu Glacier C1 at above the icefall C2 in Western Cwm C3 on Lhotse West Face C4 at South Col. Italian Nodo Infinity Everest Expedition - Spring 2008 Corazzo, Perlino, Sala, Sottsass, Ang Pemba, Mingma Tshering, Lhakpa Nuru left C4 at 9:30 pm on 21 May. The team reached summit between 8:20 am to 10:20 am on 22 May. The team spent night at C4 and went to C2 on 23 May and BC on 24 May. Manni and Ngima/Nima left C4 at 9:30 pm on 24 May, reached summit at 11 am on 25 May, stayed on summit about 30 minutes and descended to C4 around 5:30 pm slept there, next day to C2 and following day to BC. Garbin and Giovanetti climbed up to 7200m on 20 May and turned around to C2; it was difficult for Garbin to continue climbing and Giovanetti had headache. Garbin left BC on 22 May. Vielmo turned around to C4 from 8600m on 22 May; he was slow and was climbing without oxygen. The team turned to Kathmandu on 29 May. Giovanetti leaving on 30 May rest of the members on 1 and 2 June. Fixed rope: 800m from South Col to summit.
