Route Notes Adventure Consultants Everest 2008, led by Michael Roberts - 3 June 2008 The expedition put all but one of its members on the summit on one day, 24 May. The only member who did not summit was Roxanne Faike, who was not acclimatizing, go to only 5800m on 1 May and left the team on 5 May. Thirteen of their 20 Sherpas above BC also summited on the same day. The team's summit push started on 19 May from BC to C1. They were in C2 on the 20th, C3 on the 22nd, and made C4 on the 23rd. The summit party left C4 at 8:00 pm on the 23rd and were on the summit on 24 May between 4:00 and 5:00 am. All members and Sherpas descended to C4 between 9:00 am and 2:00 pm. On the 25th all were in C2, 26th in BC, and left BC on the 28th -- except for Roberts, who left on the 30th. Oxygen was used only during the summit push. Masheter used it from C2 to C3, all other members in and from C3 to the top to and in C4. Some Sherpas used it climbing near C4, but most of them did not; all of them used it in C4 to top to and in C4. The only health problem was pressure on Cheryl Bart's and Masheter's optical nerves, which blurred their vision (it struck Masheter while she was descending to the South Summit but cleared late that afternoon when she was in C4).
