Route Notes On 16 May summit team left at 10 pm, but turned back at about 11 pm due to Robert Vaughn's cold feet. They spent all day at C2 and left again at 8 pm on 17 May. Weather was calm and clear. Arrived at top at sunrise; about 10 other people on summit. They spent about 2 hours on summit. Vaughn hit 3 golfballs from top. Descended to C4, arrived at 4 pm. On 19 May descent to C2 and 20 May to BC. Vaughn waited at BC as his son came to see him and he waited for Nuptse team to come back. They left together with Nuptse team. Dawa Sherpa got to 8300m on 18 May; he was cook on South Col (w/o oxygen).
