Route Notes BC at Khumbu glacier C1 above icefall C2 in Western Cwm C3 on Lhotse West Face C4 at South Col. Kim Hong-Bin, Kim Mi-Gon, Youn Jung-Hyun, Sanu Sherpa left South Col at 11 pm on 15 May for summit. Ming Tenzi left South Col earlier around 8 pm and joined the route-opening Sherpa teams. Kim Mi-Gon reached summit at 8:20 am on 16 May, Kim Hong-Bin at 10:30 am with Sanu and Youn Jung-Hyun at 11:40 am. Kim Mi-Gon waited for fellow climber on the summit. Youn Jung-Hyun stayed on summit about 15 minutes and all descended together till below the Hillary Step then Kim Mi-Gon went down alone to C2 where he reached at 6:30 pm; next day to BC. Kim Hong-Bin, Youn Jung-Hyun and the Sherpas reached South Col at about 5 pm and they stayed there. Next day they descended to C2 and following day to BC. On their first attempt Kim Chang-Ho and Kim Mi-Gon left South Col on 14 May at midnight reached Balcony at about 5 am on 15 May, but they had to turn around to South Col due to strong wind. Kim Chang-Ho did not attempt again due to tiredness and descended to C2 on 16 May. Kim Joo-Hyeng was at South Col on 15 May, but to exhaustion did not attempt for summit and descended to C1 on 16 May. Leader Park Sang-Soo remained at BC throughout the expedition. Support members Hwang, Kim Seok-Won, Lee Chae-Sung, Lee Pyong-Soo, Park Chong-Suk and Youn Jong-Churl finished their works at BC and left on 18 April. They arrived Kathmandu on 22 and left for Korea on 25 April. Out of five Sherpas Mingma and Sanu got to the summit and Dorje, Dorchi, Wangchuk went up to South Col. Leader Park Sang-Soo and Kim Mi-Gon returned to Kathmandu on 22 May and rest of the members on 25 and will leave on 29 May.
