Route Notes Bachinepally and Ngima Sherpa left C3 at 9:30 pm NST on 4 June. They reached summit at 5:40 am on 5 June. They stayed on summit about 15 minutes, descended to C3 around 8 am, then to North Col where they spent about one hour and to ABC around 5 pm. Ahead of Bachinepally about 30 minutes Mark [Sheen] of DCXP, a Chessell leader. He was the first one to summit on that day. Then other two members of DCXP and Bachinepally with Sherpas reached the summit. While descending Bachinepally met Jamie [McGuinness], one more person and a woman together with Sherpas almost at the end of the final ridge going up. The weather was very good, while descending wind started at C3 and at C2 the wind was very strong. It was hitting hard at ABC it was Ok. When they left CBC, Russell Brice team was still there. Bachinepally returned to Kathmandu on 8 June and will leave on 12 or 13 June. He is planning to come for Cho Oyu in Autumn. Duncan Chessell told Miss Hawley that Shekhar Babu joined DCXP summit push and summited on 5 June. Chessell said Shekhar Babu was literally crawling to C1 but when he went on oxygen at C1. Shekhar Babu climbed very well.
