Route Notes On 14 May at 2:15 pm (NST) Kishan, who was last in the descending party, slipped - supposedly whilst unclipping from the rope at an anchor. The team assumes he fell down the cliff as his body could not be found. When members noticed that he was gone, two members went back up to the 1st step to look for him but he could not find him. Harbhajan Sing declared him missing at 6 pm Nepali time. Two Sherpas went back to 1st step to locate the body but he was never found. There are rumours that he committed suicide. 14 May summit team left C3 10:55 pm on 13 May. It was cloudy and snowing but when they reached 2nd Step the weather cleared good views from the top. They spent about 30 minutes on the summit and descended to C3, where they arrived between 1:30 pm and 5:30 pm Nepali time. 17 May summit team left at 10:20 pm on 16 May. The weather was clear and calm. Good views from the summit. The summit team descended to C1, where they arrived at 6 pm Nepali time. Anand got as far as C1 on 25 April. He got cerebral edema and became unconscious. Dr. Terry from Russell Brice's expedition gave him two injections. He was then carried down to ABC, where he came to again. The 28 May he was brought to Kathmandu. Angdush got to 7900m on 13 May but turned back due to stomach problem. Bhutia got to 7900m on 16 May but turned back due to exhaustion. Harbhajan Singh got to C1 on 28 April but he abandoned the climb due to the accident of Kishan. He needed to morally support the team. Timungapi got to 7900m on 13 May but turned back due to health problems. Namgyal [down] from 7900m (C2) on 15 May because of abdominal pain. Other climbers have told me that they heard Kishan jumped off the cliff. When I talked to Singh about his expedition I had not heard the rumour, so I did not ask him. Khamba Singh went to 7600m but not feeling well.
Accidents Kishan slipped at 8400m and fell down; Anand cerebral edema
